The Challenge
The client wanted to launch their developer-facing SaaS portal in 14 countries. However, their engineering team was bogged down by complex merchant accounts, usage calculation sync errors, and localized value-added tax (VAT) compliance rules, stalling their product launch.
Our Solution
We built a dedicated Node.js microservice layer hosting customized Stripe billing engines. We created usage-metering webhooks that capture API event logs, aggregate volumes hourly in Redis caches, and sync bills automatically. We connected Stripe Tax and automated localization templates to handle VAT dynamically during checkout.
